Lund Snee and Zoback win award for Best Paper in The Leading Edge journal
The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) has awarded Jens-Erik Lund Snee and Prof Mark Zoback the Best Paper award in The Leading Edge for their 2018 article
The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) has awarded Ph.D. Candidate Jens-Erik Lund Snee and Professor Mark D. Zoback the prize for Best Paper in The Leading Edge for their 2018 article, "State of stress in the Permian Basin, Texas and New Mexico: Implications for induced seismicity." The paper presents a detailed new stress map of the Permian Basin, west Texas and southeast New Mexico, and it estimates the fault slip potential on mapped faults across the basin.
